Service coverage: Kaohsiung, Taichung, Taipei and remote work
We are based in Kaohsiung and work across Taichung, Taipei and the rest of Taiwan, as well as projects in China and Southeast Asia. This article explains which stages are better in person and which run faster remotely.
The short answer
Distance is no longer the main constraint when choosing a software partner, but never meeting is not the best approach either. What we find in practice: process interviews and launch training are better face to face, while communication during development is faster remotely.
Service coverage
- Main base: Kaohsiung. Clients in the south can have on-site interviews and training in person.
- Regular service cities: Taichung and Taipei, with coverage across the whole of Taiwan.
- Overseas: we have delivered projects in China and Southeast Asia.
Stages we suggest doing in person
Process interviews
The value of an interview is watching the work happen. How goods are received in the warehouse, how orders are taken at the counter, how paperwork travels across a desk: these details are hard to convey over video and are often exactly what the design turns on.
Launch training
The first time people use a new system, their questions are small, scattered and need an answer on the spot. Walking through it once on site beats answering twenty emails afterwards.
Stages that run faster remotely
- Prototype and specification sign-off: reviewing screens together online lets us mark changes as we go and leaves a record.
- Progress updates during development: short, frequent online meetings catch gaps earlier than a visit every two weeks.
- Test feedback: marking a problem in the system itself is far more precise than describing it out loud.
How out-of-town projects run
Our approach is one full on-site interview at kickoff, covering everything that has to be seen in person, then online meetings at a fixed rhythm, then one more on-site session before launch for training and go-live support. This rhythm has run for years on projects in Taichung and Taipei, and it is the model we use overseas.
How to get in touch
Wherever you are, start with the contact form and describe what you are dealing with. We will look at the process and the size of the requirement first, then decide whether an on-site interview is needed.
